6 MONTHS!

Everett is 6 months old and I can't even believe it. Is he really growing this quickly? My advice to every mom out there is to SAVOR THE MOMENTS. We are loving the stage that he is in. I love his little personality. He is such a flirt. He is still the smiliest baby and I never want that to change. He is now sitting and loves feeing like a big boy. He has giggled but has yet to give us a good full on belly laugh. We are anxiously awaiting. He is loving food and eats solids twice a day. He loves to feel different textures. He is a good fake crier. He enjoys reading bedtime stories and loves to help flip the pages. Ohhh and my favorite new thing is when he is sleeping. He sleeps on his belly and sticks his butt right up in the air. It's just the perfect little bubble butt. HE KILLS ME.

We love you little E.

1/4 of a century old hubby

I LOVE BIRTHDAYS! They are the best thing ever. Do you know what else I love? Spoiling my husband. He is the hardest worker and deserves the universe. On March 12th Taylor turned 25! He is officially a quarter of a century old. He is seriously the most amazing husband and daddy. Everett and I are the luckiest. We were excited to spoil him.
I firmly believe that birthdays must include delicious food. So to start off our morning we had Overnight Baked Cream Cheese French Toast
. We gave Taylor his presents, one of which was, yes, four boxes of brownies. He always says that we never have treats. Because if we have them,  I will eat them. So I don't buy them. So there you go. Four boxes of brownies. We spent the day doing his favorite thing, golfing. We went to sleepy ridge golf course with our friends Matt and Liz. Everett and his friend, Owen, hung out with the dads played golf and the moms talked. We had lunch at Chubby's. The birthday boy choose burgers of course. Then it was nap time. Not just for Everett, but for Taylor and I as well. That evening my parents watched Everett while we went to dinner. I love our little boy so much but I can't even tell you how nice it was just to be the two of us. When we got in the car Taylor turned the music  nice and loud, I thought, oh SHHHHH the baby! We had many instances like this throughout the night, thinking that we were forgetting E or being too loud. I swear the majority of our conversation was about Everett. It's funny. Once you become a parent your life revolves around your children. We love our little guy so much. The night was topped off with hot tubbing, apple pie a la mode, and Creed.

This picture cracks me up. #SWAG

I'd have to say this is my favorite picture of the day. ^

Hogle Zoo

Jordan and I decided that Luca and Everett needed a play date. The Hogle Zoo had free admission and we thought, what the heck? We had this idea in mind that the boys would love it--when in all reality they could have cared less. The day was really for us to catch up and get some fresh air. You should of seen us walking throughs the crowds of children old enough to actually get excited about looking at a tiger. It was pretty hysterical. What we do for our children... ;)

My Little Valentine

Okay people, I couldn't help myself. I just had to do it.

Here is the story: Everett had a blowout. I changed him. I kissed him. I forgot I had red lipstick on, so it left a mark and BAM the idea hit. Impromptu photo session. I absolutely love Valentine's Day! A day to focus on how much I love my people...yes please. This year I get to smother both of my boys in lots and lots of kisses. The only difference is... Everett let me take pictures of him.

This whole weekend has been absolutely incredible. Friday night we went out to dinner. I was craving sushi and Taylor, being the amazing husband he is, insisted that we go even though he hates it.  That's why I love him! We came home and watched one of our favorite movies, CRAZY STUPID LOVE. Oh my gosh, it's amazing and hilarious. We rewinded...rewound?.... a few parts multiple times just to crack ourselves  up over and over again. Saturday morning we had a major cuddle sesh with Everett. He mostly just grabs our faces and screams. He is quite the screamer lately. Taylor made cinnamon-sugar stuffed french toast for breakfast... He really gets me. We watched our current Netflix show all morning and then we finally got ready. You know it's a good, relaxing day when you get ready at 1 in the afternoon. We swung by Sodalicious for some treats and drove up to Park City for lunch. It felt great to get out of the smog and into the sun. The rest of the day consisted of... just you wait... MORE CUDDLES. See, that's why I love Valentine's Day.

I can't wait to see what today holds.

The Mountains Are Calling

It hasn't snowed like this in years. So of course, we had to take advantage.
If we could, we would be on the mountain skiing 24/7. But, with school, work, and a baby... that's not very likely. So when we can sneak away to go, we shred hard!
We haven't been since Vail bought Park City and joined it with Canyons. So we had to go exploring. We skied both sides of the resort. It is HUGE! We decided that next time we are going to have to just pick a side to stay on because getting to and from takes a bit. There is so much terrain.
The first day it always takes a second to get back in the saddle. Your muscles are also not used to working that exact way. So by the end of the day on your 5th mogul run... YOU FEEL IT! Wow, do we sound old or what? I'm telling you... parenthood changes your body!

It was such a perfect day.

It felt good to be back!

Gotta cover up that helmet hair!

Everett's 4 Month Update

As you can tell Everett has grown quite a bit in the last four months. I think month 1-2 was the biggest difference. He was SO TINY! It's crazy looking back at pictures and thinking how small he was. You never notice while you're in the moment. He has grown right before my eyes.
Yesterday he had his 4 month appointment and he is looking great!

16 pounds, 5 ounces and 72 percentile

25.5 inches and 60 percentile

16.5 inches and 56 percentile

Here's what Everett has been up to this last month:

- E is the smiliest baby. It's simple. You just have to look at him and smile and BAM he will give you the cutest smile that will just melt your heart in return. And he won't just smile for mom and dad, he will smile for just about anyone!

- E is almost rolling over. I know I said that about a month ago. But this time it's serious. He just needs to figure out how to pull his chest and arm over with his leg. Until then, he loves tummy time.

- E loves to suck on anything that's near his face. If we are holding him, he will lunge forward and begin sucking on our arms. It beyond tickles! When he isn't doing that, his little fingers are shoved in his mouth.

- His legs. Let's just talk about his cute CHUBBY CHUBBY legs. He is always kicking them around and smacking the ground. Taylor changed his diaper at church the other day and E kept kicking the changing table so hard that he would cry. Poor little guy doesn't know his own strength!

- E loves to touch daddy's facial hair.

- E is a talkative litte feller. He mostly grunts/ growls. He also has the cutest high pitch sequel when he gets excited.

- E is wearing size 2 diapers. He will soon be graduating out of those once he hits 17 pounds. So i'm thinking it's just a matter of days.

- E is pretty much out of his 3-6 month clothes... at four months. He has started wearing 6 month clothes in Carters. Today I had to put 9 MONTH jeans on him because his 6 month ones wouldn't fit over his chubby thighs. I was dying laughing. 9 months at four months? That a boy.

- Last night we hit a breaking point. Everett slept 6 hours straight. I can't even tell you how good it feels to sleep 6 consecutive hours. HALLELUJAH!

New Year's Week

It was an amazing week up in Promontory with the Smith family. It was beautiful up in Park City. Although it was FREEZING, and i'm talking in the negatives, we bundled up and enjoyed the heck out of each other.

Our little heart throb.

There was a lot of whiping and nae naeing...I just made that a verb.

We brought in the New Year with quite the party!

Taylor kept sneaking away from all the excitement and working on the puzzle the family had started. Who knew he loved puzzles so much?! I sure didn't!

The funniest game. I don't even know the name of it. We could call it, water in the face? Pretty much someone has a bottle cap full of water and thinks of a category. Say it's movies. Then they pick a movie in their head. Then they go around the circle and if you say the movie they are thinking of, you get splashed in the face. I was really bad at it and got water in the face multiple times.

The Pie Face game. This one's pretty self explanatory.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

My brother, Conner, put together a little video of our fun night^

Okay, so there is a very funny story behind this picture. As a family we watched the movie Everest. First of all, the movie is crazy intense. As you can see from this picture. I think that we all needed full body messages to relieve all of our knots afterwards. Throughout the movie we would pause it and talk. At one point, my aunt screamed out,
"IT'S MACKLEMORE!!!!" So we looked up the cast list... it must have been a look alike. For some reason every one was in the perfect mood to talk, laugh, and scream. We had such a great time.

All professional looking pictures are done by the beautiful and talented Lauren Chaney. Thanks for capturing these moments and making them memories!

I love this amazing family of mine! We had such a great time together!
